Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story

This week's DS on DS review is for Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story.

From the review: "Starting with the legendary Super Mario RPG, there have been a string of RPG games starring everyone's favorite mustachioed plumber. Now the latest RPG from Nintendo, Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story, has been released on the Nintendo DS."

Scribblenauts

This week's DS on DS review is on Scribblenauts.

Here is an excerpt: "Since this past E3, Scribblenauts quickly became a highly anticipated game for a lot of DS owners. For me, it was one of the five games coming out this year that I was really looking forward to playing. I mean, who wouldn't be interested in a game that gave you an objective, and then let you solve it however you see fit? This uniqueness, however, brings with it the game's biggest flaw: you."

DS on DS: Marker Man Adventures

This week's DS on DS review is on Marker Man Adventures.

Here's an excerpt: "The game has you playing as Marker Man (a stick figure), in search of his missing dog, Doodle. He has to travel through 170 levels to find him. Each level has a hand drawn look to it. Even the background looks like graph paper. It’s a nice touch. The music, on the other hand, isn’t so nice. This is one of those games that if you are going to play it, you better do so with the volume off. "

DS on DS: Fossil Fighters

This week's DS on DS review is on Fossil Fighters.

Here is an excerpt: "If you were to mix Pokemon with dinosaurs, two fairly popular concepts, you wouldn't think you could go very wrong. Add into that the fact that it is a first party title on the Nintendo DS, and you would really be expecting great things. What you wouldn't expect is something that is somewhat slow paced and even a little tedious, but that is exactly what Fossil Fighters is."

DS on DS: G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra

My DS on DS review of G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra was originally written on August 21, 2009.

Here is an excerpt: "Back in the day, G.I. Joe was one of the most popular cartoons on TV. Along with Transformers, He-Man, and Jem and the Holograms, it was one of the shows I never missed. All these years later, we are finally getting a live action movie, and thus, a video game based on said movie. Lately, movie games have been bucking the trend of being, well, crappy, but this is not one of those games."

DS on DS: Planet Puzzle League

My DS on DS review of Planet Puzzle League was originally written on August 7, 2009.

Here is an excerpt: "Tetris Attack on the SNES. Pokemon Puzzle League on the N64 (and Challenge on the GBC). Puzzle League on the GBA. These are some of the best puzzle games ever made. Now, Planet Puzzle League, the newest game in the series, has come to the Nintendo DS and it is better than ever. In fact, it may just be the best puzzle game to come out on the system. Mind you, I don't say that lightly. Tetris DS was great, and the two Meteos games were also wonderful. This game, however, is better."

DS on DS: Point Blank DS

My DS on DS review of Point Blank DS was originally written on July 31, 2009.

Here is an excerpt: "When I first heard that Point Blank, my all time favorite game series from the PS1, was coming to the Nintendo DS, I laughed. I thought, "How good could that actually be without using a light gun?" After much deliberation, I figured that it probably wouldn't be bad. I mean, the arcade versions of Point Blank forced you to be right up on the screen, so if you were just tapping the screen instead, it wouldn't be that horrible. I am glad to say, I was right."

DS on DS: Puzzle City

My DS on DS review of Puzzle City was originally written on July 24, 2009.

Here is an excerpt: "Puzzle games are no strangers to the library of the Nintendo DS. In fact, there are a lot of really good, and really diverse puzzle games on the system. That doesn’t mean that there isn’t room for more, because much like Jela-Ton™, there’s always room for more. As long as they are unique and don’t completely suck (I’m looking at you, Galactrix) they will be welcomed into my DSi for some quality play time. One of these new types of puzzle game comes to us with the very appropriate title Puzzle City."

DS on DS: Powerbike

My DS on DS review of Powerbike was originally written on July 17, 2009.

Here is an excerpt: "To many guys, motorcycles hold a special spot in their minds. Most guys either have a motorcycle or want to buy one. I have always wanted a nice crotch-rocket myself, but I know it will never happen. That’s mostly because I know I would end up killing myself on one. Since I don’t have one here in the real world, I thought I would try one out in this week’s Nintendo DS game: Powerbike. "

DS on DS: Treasure World

My DS on DS review of Treasure World was originally written on July 10, 2009.

Here is an excerpt: "Ever on the lookout for games that are outside the norm, I was immediately drawn to Treasure World. It's a game where you collect a bunch of different sets of items, which is one of my favorite aspects of Animal Crossing, but the way that it is handled is what makes it so unique. Treasure World is a hoarder's dream come true, and it has me completely hooked."

DS on DS: Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings

My DS on DS review for Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings was originally written on June 26, 2009.

Here in an excerpt: "Ever since Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis, we have all been waiting for another good Indiana Jones game. There was one that was shown using the Euphoria engine and that one was looking amazing. Then word came that it had been canceled but it was also made known that there was still an Indy in development for the Wii, PlayStation 2, PlayStation Portable, and the DS. The question remained of whether or not they would actually be any good though."
